Yep, just hold up a sec. You can get to that very soon. Those of us who have worked on this just wanted to offer a little bit of youth ministry theory for you to think about in the hope it would lead you to make the most of the resources that follow.
“Youth ministry theory?” I hear you ask. Yes, Youth ministry theory, there is such a thing! It’s one thing to go racing in looking for great program ideas, but we would like to help you put this resource in a little bit of perspective.
I am making the assumption that you have come to Batteries Not Included for one of two or three reasons. Maybe you know some of us who have worked on it, maybe it’ll fit perfectly in that gap in your bookcase, or maybe it’s because of the great name and glossy cover. But my guess is that is most likely that you bought it because of the wealth of program ideas you saw when you flicked through it. There is a bit of a gulf in the Australian practical youth ministry ideas resources, especially ones that have so many ideas on so many aspects of leading youth groups. We’d like to think that Batteries Not Included goes a long way to plugging some of that gap. Batteries Not Included goes a long way to answering the “what am I going to do at youth group?” question.
